Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Technician in Jackson, MS to assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC electrical busduct systems and metering communications. You will interact with customers and coordinate with CRC, Supervisor, and your manager.

This role requires hands-on electrical experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to manage your own schedule while providing timely reporting and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on electrical environment experience (1+ years).
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC iMPB, HPB, TOB and communications.
• Establish and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales reps; communicate with CRC, supervisor, and manager.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
• Interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Manage own schedule with self-motivation and priority setting.
• Respond to emergency calls and aim for a first-time fix.
• Provide accurate and timely communications and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws.
• Report timecards and expenses accurately.
• Drive Continuous Improvement.
