Job summary

Nextech is seeking a Universal Service Technician to service commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, with daily dispatch from home and travel to customer locations. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diverse equipment while expanding your skill set across multiple specialties.

The role requires 2+ years of HVAC/R or 3+ years kitchen equipment experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of recent commercial HVAC/R field experience or 3+ years servicing commercial kitchen equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in two specialties—HVAC, refrigeration, or kitchen equipment—preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, gas, steam, and refrigeration systems.
• EPA certification for refrigerant-handling work; relevant licenses/certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within service area; on-call shifts included.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service and ensure reliable solutions on every call.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, replace, adjust, and calibrate HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose issues across electrical, electronic, mechanical, gas, steam, and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs; recommend parts and system upgrades.
• Document work clearly in electronic work orders; communicate findings to customers and leadership.
• Travel to customer locations; coordinate with dispatch; participate in on-call rotations.
