Job summary
Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic for 100% on-site work at customer sites in the United States.
The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing generators and components, with opportunities for relocation support and sign-on bonuses for external candidates. You will lead repair efforts, maintain records, and uphold safety policies while advancing skills on Cummins products.
Qualifications
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Advanced experience with electrical repair and maintenance.
- Proficient Diesel Engine experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
- Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.
- Understanding switchgear schematics.
- Ability to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
