Job summary

Rivian seeks an experienced Service Operations Manager in Nashville to lead local service operations with a customer-first mindset. You will drive P&L, WIP and NPS, while building a strong Mobile/Service Technician and Advisor team and coordinating with Sales, Retail, and Field Operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with travel as needed and a focus on safety and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to have a direct impact on scalability in a complex organization.
• Effectively manage remote service teams and a driver of people performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding planning and organizational skills with a focus in operational excellence.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated high-level administrative experience, including advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to perform duties with professionalism, flexibility, and tact.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of automotive equipment and servicing methods.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Automotive technical skills preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience in leading automotive or high-tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for effectively managing a P&L, WIP and customer experience measured by NPS.
• Lead and manage all local operations on the ground with a servant-leadership, hands-on mindset.
• Ensure programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in line with Rivian's objectives.
• Manage and be accountable for high value inventory reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Service Operations, Sales, Retail, and Delivery & Field Operations teams.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement and improve field service operations.
• Prioritize, plan, and coordinate logistics and meetings with internal and external parties.
• Build a customer-centric team of Mobile/Service Technicians, Service Advisors, and Parts Advisors.
• Lead management responsibility for hiring, performance management, and employee development planning.
• Foster Rivian culture that is inclusive and maintains high team morale.
• Ensure safe service business practices and processes are established.
• Promote Rivian's safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Develop and report KPI trends at Service Centers.
• Guide site leadership and Riv EXCEL process to meet goals across shifts.
