Job summary

AVL Manufacturing USA in Charlotte, NC seeks a Field Service Coordinator to assist the Service Manager and team, ensuring clear operations and communication across AVL USA and AVL Hamilton leadership. You will coordinate service activities, ensure resources before travel, and track deficiencies across projects.

You will handle scheduling, travel logistics, and the fleet and material management needed to keep field operations running smoothly with strict safety standards and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a coordinator, administrative, or logistics role.
• 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Visual MFG ERP; Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all travel logistics for field teams, including hotel bookings and B1 documentation, ensuring alignment with project schedules.
• Plan, track, and manage shipments of loose materials, warranty parts, NCR components, and site installation materials with the Service Team.
• Maintain high situational awareness across active field deployments and communicate with the Service team.
• Inventory, Fleet, and Material Management.
• Maintain accurate inventory logs for field tools, fuel, maintenance, and consumables; assist with restocking and requisition processes with Service Operations.
• Provide administrative assistance to Field Service Manager and Service PMs, including calendar management and travel coordination.
• Track deficiency list progress daily and report to AVL Service Project team.
• Field crew mobilization accuracy and on-time deployment.
• Deficiency aging and resolution timelines.
• Fleet readiness and compliance.
• Timecard accuracy and submission compliance.
• Travel and logistics cost tracking vs budget.
• Escalate schedule risks, safety concerns, or customer conflicts to Field Service Manager immediately.
