Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Manager to oversee the Field Service Department in the assigned area. You will manage a technician team across varying competency levels and interact with customers, vendors, and senior management.

The role includes leading projects, coordinating quotes and schedules, and providing hands-on technical support for wireless systems. Responsibilities include liaison with Motorola and customers, site surveys, FATP tests, and ongoing training of staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in wireless or related field.
• Ability to manage customer relationships and translate needs into actions.
• Strong knowledge of RF concepts and 2‑way radio technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and service assignments in the field.
• Act as liaison between BearCom technicians and Motorola or end customers.
• Prepare quotes, bids, and schedules for installation and repair tasks.
• Organize and schedule upcoming field work.
• Provide hands-on field technical support and supervise installation activities.
• Check and evaluate performance of installed equipment under real operating conditions.
• Install, maintain, and service wireless equipment including base stations, mobile devices, and CCTV gear.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair radio and wireless equipment problems.
• Deliver FATP tests and document site surveys per customer requirements.
• Make minor hardware modifications and deploy firmware updates as needed.
• Coach and train field technicians and installers.
• Travel and on‑call work may be required.
