Job summary

BearCom in Plattsburgh, NY is seeking a Field Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the Field Service Department in your assigned area. You will manage a technician team with varying levels of expertise and coordinate with customers, vendors, and senior management to ensure service delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in technical management within wireless or related industries, strong project coordination, and excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in technical management in wireless or related industries.
• Experience in developing and directing new business opportunities through customer interface.
• Strong knowledge of vendor resources and complex project implementations.
• Understanding of business practices P&L responsibility and excellent customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and service assignments.
• Act as liaison between BearCom technicians and Motorola or end customers.
• Prepare quotes, bids, and schedules for installation and repair tasks.
• Organize and schedule upcoming field work and provide field operational support.
• Install, maintain, and provide technical support for wireless equipment; diagnose issues.
• Perform site surveys and FATs; document results.
• Oversee hardware installation including base stations, radios, and CCTV.
