Job summary

Civic Minds is seeking a Lead Field Service Manager to oversee field service operations, technicians, and customer support for industrial automation equipment. You will direct installations, commissioning, startups, troubleshooting, and service projects while coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and other teams.

The role requires 5+ years in field service or technical management, strong leadership and communication skills, and willingness to travel 40–60% across North America

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems.
• Travel 40–60% across North America, with some international trips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop Field Service Technicians and service operations.
• Oversee scheduling, installations, startups, troubleshooting, upgrades, and customer issues.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related problems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Sales teams.
• Manage service projects, quotes, budgets, KPIs, and customer relationships.
• Travel to customer sites as needed for critical projects and technical support.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of field service, technical service management, industrial automation, packaging, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience managing technicians, projects, scheduling, and customer support.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and industrial controls preferred.
• 40 60% travel throughout North America; occasional international travel.
