Job summary

Sterling Engineering is seeking a Field Service / Machine Build Leader in Columbus, OH to build and lead a high-performing field organization. You will spearhead field service, machine build, installation, and deployment efforts, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on leadership experience in automation manufacturing, robotics, or Tier 1 automotive environments, with a track record of delivering complex industrial projects and a willingness

We’re looking for a Field Service / Machine Build Leader to build and lead a high-performing field organization.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has actually built a field service, machine build, installation, or deployment team and wants to have a meaningful impact on how the organization operates and scales.

We’re especially interested in leaders coming from automation manufacturing, robotics, or Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environments.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Build and grow a team of field technicians and skilled trades
• Establish the processes, standards, and structure for field execution
• Lead complex equipment builds and installations from start to finish
• Work directly with customers and cross-functional engineering and operations teams
• Drive safety, quality, schedule, and continuous improvement
• Build the playbook for how future projects get executed

We’re looking for a hands-on leader, not just a people manager. You should have proven experience building teams, solving problems in the field, managing trades and subcontractors, and delivering complex industrial projects.
