Field Service & Site Execution Manager

60–70% Travel | Industrial Automation & Material Handling

Our client, a leading industrial automation company, is seeking a hands‑on Field Service & Site Execution Manager to lead electrical and controls installation activities at customer sites across the U.S. This is a player‑coach role responsible for managing field execution, coordinating subcontractors and technicians, supporting startup and troubleshooting efforts, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on‑site electrical and controls installation activities for automation projects
• Manage field technicians and third‑party electrical contractors during installation and startup
• Coordinate daily site execution, schedules, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Support commissioning, I/O checkout, power‑up, startup, and turnover activities
• Perform field quality inspections, installation verification, and punch list management
• Serve as the primary site contact for customers, contractors, and project teams
• Maintain field documentation including redlines, as‑builts, and issue tracking
• Enforce site safety standards including LOTO, PPE, and NFPA 70E practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, electrical installation, commissioning, or field service
• 3+ years leading field teams, subcontractors, or site execution activities
• Strong knowledge of industrial controls, PLC‑based automation, and electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics, panel drawings, and installation packages
• Experience in material handling, warehouse, parcel, or distribution automation environments preferred
• Rockwell and/or Siemens platform experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
• Ability and willingness to travel 60–70%

Base Compensation is $100k-$130k DOE
