Action Garage Door in Meridian/Boise, Idaho is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead and develop our residential service team. You’ll spend time in the field coaching technicians, driving service revenue, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will review performance data, coach on presenting options, and build strong development plans while maintaining accountability and high standards. This leadership role offers a clear growth path and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership in a service organization
• Proven ability to coach and develop frontline employees
• Strong understanding of customer service and consultative selling
• Comfortable managing through KPIs and performance data
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field coaching technicians
• Strong communication and accountability skills
• Experience in home-service trades preferred
• ServiceTitan experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop our residential service technicians
• Drive service revenue, sales performance, and profitability
• Improve opportunity conversion, average ticket, and technician productivity
• Conduct regular ride-alongs and in-field coaching
• Review calls, estimates, invoices, and technician performance
• Coach technicians on presenting options and creating an exceptional customer experience
• Establish clear goals and hold the team accountable
• Lead daily huddles, weekly meetings, and performance conversations
• Identify training needs and build development plans
• Partner with Dispatch to maximize capacity
• Ensure technicians follow processes
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing technicians
• Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally
• Recognize top performers and address gaps
