Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Lead in the Columbus, OH area to supervise a team of field service technicians and engineers. The role combines hands-on start-up, commissioning, onsite troubleshooting, and project oversight across multiple customer sites.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in field service, strong leadership and communication, and familiarity with LOTO and electrical distribution systems. Travel up to 75% is required. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution equipment.
• Minimum 2 years field service experience with start-up/commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical distribution systems preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate start-up and commissioning across multiple sites.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to field technicians.
• Serve as technical lead for product troubleshooting.
• Travel to facilities for training and tests as required.
• Identify risks and report to management.
• Complete punch lists and ensure paperwork deliverables are met.
• Coordinate with commercial and admin teams for scope changes.
• Ensure tools, materials, and documentation are available at each site.
• Schedule resources to cover service needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
