Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Field Service Intern to gain hands-on experience by working with Field Service Engineers and supporting customers at various sites. This role emphasizes customer-centric skills and hands-on troubleshooting within Motions & Controls.

Interns will travel frequently to customer sites, be based out of a field office, and participate in real-world problem solving with Rockwell Automation customers and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced engineering degree program at an accredited university.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
• Flexibility on location and travel; role based out of a field office and travel frequently to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites with a Field Service Engineer to understand in person support interactions with Rockwell Automation Customers.
• Support our customers and field personnel with troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in person.
• Experience the responsibilities of a Field Support Engineer in Motions & Controls to learn how they approach troubleshooting in their respective area of work.
• Manage customer interactions by setting expectations, capturing the issue, resolution and steps taken to troubleshoot, and following up with customers in a timely manner.
