Job summary

Rockwell Automation internship in Field Service within Lifecycle Services (LCS) offers hands-on experience traveling to customer sites with a Field Service Engineer to understand on-site support interactions. You'll assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues in person and learn approaches used in Motions & Controls.

You will be based out of a field office with travel to Dallas, TX and Davenport, IA, developing essential engineering and customer-centric skills for a successful career.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced engineering degree program at an accredited university.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas.
• Flexibility on location and travel; role based out of a field office with frequent travel. Current locations include Dallas, TX and Davenport, IA.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites with a Field Service Engineer to understand in person support interactions with Rockwell Automation Customers.
• Support our customers and field personnel with troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in person.
• Experience the responsibilities of a Field Support Engineer in Motions & Controls to learn troubleshooting approaches.
• Manage customer interactions by setting expectations, capturing the issue, resolution and steps taken to troubleshoot, and following up with customers.
