Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Customer Engineer to perform installation, commissioning and on-site service for UPS and power products across diverse customer sites. You will visit customer locations, diagnose issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with Technical Support to ensure optimal equipment performance.

The role requires strict adherence to safety guidelines, travel readiness, and the ability to complete administrative tasks such as service reports and inventory counts.

Qualifications

• Customer Engineer role requires strong customer-facing communication and rapport-building.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and power systems with direction.
• Willingness to travel and operate under safety policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning and service on UPS, PDU and power products.
• Provide on-site and phone assistance to customers and communicate with Tech Support.
• Implement field changes and stay current with safety bulletins and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate timecards, service reports and inventory records.
• Attend customer meetings and strive for first-time fix on equipment.
• Meet on-site response time requirements and follow startup/escalation processes.
