Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc is hiring a Field Service Technician in New Jersey to troubleshoot and repair METTLER TOLEDO analytics equipment, perform calibrations and preventative maintenance, and provide user training. You will coordinate with scheduling, manage inventory, and help meet uptime targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes customer-facing work, documentation, and collaboration with sales and service teams to drive service outcomes and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with aptitude in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, technology or CS or equivalent in experience.
• AA degree with technical major or related job experience preferred.
• Ability to speak and present ideas to a large group.
• 2–4 years in METTLER TOLEDO Process analytics field service or 2–3 years hands-on mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industry products without assistance.
• Resolve first-line customer concerns and assist with invoicing issues when applicable.
• Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance per METTLER TOLEDO procedures and customer requirements.
• Provide basic end user training.
• Assist Scheduling Analyst and Service Support Team as needed.
• Achieve targets while controlling expenses.
• Ensure company vehicle is serviced and maintained per fleet policies.
• Promote and sell service and products; submit sales leads as appropriate.
• Maintain inventory levels and accuracy of stocked items.
• Ensure safety and quality policies are followed.
• Meet customer uptime requirements and complete work on time.
• Accurately complete daily paperwork via company laptop.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, sales, technicians, and leaders.
• Complete Kronos timekeeping daily with accurate punch records.
• Order assignment materials using DSM and record activities timely.
• Foster collaboration with field and service support colleagues.
