H.T. Prof Executive Search in Addison, IL is seeking a technically skilled Field Service Engineer who travels to customer sites to install, calibrate, and repair custom-built testing and industrial equipment.

Back at the facility, you’ll draft SOPs, digitize records, update manuals, and help organize a growing service department, while delivering hands-on training and building lasting client relationships. This role blends fieldwork with internal process improvement to shape how the business

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hands-on maintenance, field service or industrial tech.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic meters.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Provide hands-on training to customer personnel on operation and safety.
• Build strong customer relationships and be the main contact for service needs.
• Identify upsell opportunities including service agreements and maintenance plans.
• Relay field observations to internal teams for product and service improvements.
• Assist with in-house assembly and equipment testing during non-travel periods.
