Job summary

Dornier MedTech America, a medical device company, seeks a Field Service Engineer, Surgical to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on our laser systems. The role requires field travel and strong technical and customer-service skills to support clinical applications and promote service contracts.

Ideal candidates will have an electronics background, field service experience, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Northern NJ is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent required.
• 3–8 years of combined technical field service experience.
• Knowledge and experience in service of surgical laser equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain insurance.
• Ability to travel 50–70% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on surgical laser systems.
• Handle site installation and de-installation, including logistics.
• Provide clinical application support on assigned equipment.
• Operate test equipment and remote diagnostic tools to resolve issues.
• Sell service contracts and promote programs.
• Maintain administrative reports and inventory records.
