Job summary

Stellaromics, a Boston-based biotech startup, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our first-generation in-situ sequencing instrument. You will work with R&D to test and refine fluidics and microscopy components, ensuring high instrument reliability.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering, science or related field.
• 5+ years supporting capital equipment in the research or clinical fields.
• Experience in the alignment and troubleshooting of microscopes, automated fluidics, robotics or related scientific instruments.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and possible cross-border travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the first-gen instrument.
• Install, calibrate, and service instruments at customer sites.
• Collaborate with R&D to refine fluidics and microscopy components.
• Document field service activities and maintain service records.
• Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades, and renewals.
• Travel as required to customer sites, including cross-border locations.
