Job summary

KLA is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Rio Rancho, NM to repair complex system-level issues, prepare service reports, and deliver customer training. You will travel regionally in the western US and beyond, supporting semiconductor equipment maintenance and deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree or 3 years of related work experience.
Experience with electromechanical equipment in cleanroom environments preferred.
Semiconductor industry experience preferred.
Strong customer communication and ability to travel.
Hands-on with KLA Metrology equipment (Archer10 - A700) preferred.

Responsibilities

Repair system-level problems based on knowledge, education, training and certification.
Identify process issues and may recommend shutdown of customer fab due to unsafe conditions.
Prepare field service reports and documentation for other functions.
Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel, parts, and reason for failure.
Cross train and mentor other field service engineers and support installations.
Conduct customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance.
Travel to customer facilities across the western US and North America.
Contribute to knowledge capture and reuse.
