Job summary
Nanoscience Instruments (NSI) seeks a hands-on Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair advanced scientific instrumentation at customer sites across North America, with approximately 25% travel. The role requires strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and the ability to work with scientists and engineers.
You will travel to US and Canada locations, perform on-site maintenance, and interact with customers, while collaborating with global support teams.
Qualifications
- Engineering or related degree preferred; hands-on experience with complex instruments.
- Experience in field service or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel ~25%.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair advanced scientific instrumentation.
- Conduct on-site maintenance visits across the US and Canada (occasional weekend travel).
- Provide troubleshooting and repair support via phone, email, and remote connection software.
- Submit detailed service reports and maintain records.
- Collaborate with wider Technical Support teams and Application Scientists.
