Job summary

Clear Labs is hiring a Field Service Engineer in San Carlos, CA to support in-house and field-installed robotic systems. The role requires strong technical skills, customer-facing abilities, and willingness to travel up to 50% monthly.

The candidate should have hands-on field service experience in biotech/robotics, solid troubleshooting across electronics and robotics, and familiarity with Hamilton liquid handlers. A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred.
• Hands-on field service experience in biotech or robotics.
• Strong troubleshooting across electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics and networking.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on in-house and field robotic systems.
• Communicate with customers to demonstrate capability and confidence.
• Maintain detailed service reports and site visit records.
• Provide feedback to improve system reliability and address failure points.
• Support special projects and cross-team collaboration.
