Job summary

Clear Labs in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair robotic systems at HQ and at customer sites worldwide. Travel between 25% and 75% is required to support operations.

The role requires hands-on field service in biotech or robotics, strong troubleshooting across electronics and electromechanical systems, excellent communication, and solid Excel skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred and lifting up to 80 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field service experience in biotech/life science/robotics preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics, liquid handlers, computers, and networking components.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage customer expectations.
• Proficiency with Excel required.
• Ability to lift approximately 80 lbs. on an infrequent basis.
• After-hours on-call support may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair robotic systems at Clear Labs HQ and global customer sites.
• Train customers on basic maintenance and usage of systems.
• Communicate with customers to instill confidence in Clear Labs capabilities.
• Provide feedback to internal teams to improve system reliability.
• Support Field Applications team to maximize equipment uptime and responsiveness.
• Assist with quality process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate logistics and inventory to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Collaborate with Sales/Evaluations to help achieve financial targets.
