Job summary

Clear Labs, based in San Carlos, CA, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support in-house and customer-installed robotic systems. You will travel up to 50% to service equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and work with multiple teams to drive reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on field service experience in biotech or robotics, strong electronics and networking skills, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Authorization to work in the US is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on field service experience in biotech, life sciences or robotics.
• Strong troubleshooting across electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on field robotic systems.
• Communicate with customers to demonstrate product capabilities and service quality.
• Maintain detailed service reports and visit records for customers.
• Provide feedback to improve system reliability and support special projects.
• Support Client Care to maximize equipment uptime and responsiveness.
• Assist with logistics to ensure timely shipment and appropriate inventory levels.
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
