Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Seattle, WA area to commission, test, and troubleshoot power distribution and protection systems across various industrial environments. This hands-on role requires extensive travel to sites nationwide, ensuring safe, reliable system performance for customers and partners.

You will work on greenfield and brownfield projects, perform on-site commissioning, calibrate relays, and document findings in clear reports.

Qualifications

Field-based commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems.
Experience with protection and control relays (SEL, GE Multilin, Siemens SIPROTEC) and configured software.
Ability to travel up to 80% domestically.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Install, test, commission, and start up low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment (approx. 480V–38kV).
Perform hands-on commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of protection and control relays.
Use Omicron and Doble test sets and relay software to validate system performance.
Support greenfield and brownfield projects through commissioning, maintenance, and emergency response.
Analyze test results and document findings in field reports.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to provide technical support and training as needed.
Travel extensively to job sites across the U.S. for field execution.
