Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high-quality field services for power systems, including installation, maintenance, and reliability improvements. You will troubleshoot HV equipment, work on substation projects, and collaborate with customers to meet their needs with a safety-first approach.

The role requires over five years in technical field service, a technical degree or trades background, and the ability to travel within the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on experience with substation construction, HV equipment and electrical testing.
• Over 5 years in technical field service with power/mechanical equipment.
• Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical trades.
• College/University degree in a technical field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations with strong technical skills.
• Deliver on-site and remote services including installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and proactively prevent issues.
• Lead field service projects and provide direction and analysis.
• Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
