Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform complex field service operations, including installation, maintenance and repairs, on electrical and mechanical systems. You will travel to customer sites across the US, Canada, and Mexico, delivering on-site service and remotely supported tasks as needed.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a trade education or technical degree, and 5+ years in technical field service with power equipment.

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with field service background.
• Trade education or technical degree in engineering or trades.
• Proven ability to work across electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations with strong technical skills.
• Deliver installation, maintenance, and repairs remotely or on-site.
• Exceed customer expectations by understanding their needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and proactively prevent issues.
• Identify and resolve electrical or mechanical problems with minimal assistance.
• Develop potential sales and business opportunities through customer knowledge.
• Suggest product and process improvements to enhance operations.
• Lead field service projects and provide direction and analysis.
