Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services and Systems group seeks a Field Service Engineer in the United States. You will work across diverse customer environments to address power distribution challenges, building a strong technical foundation and leadership potential.

In this development program, you’ll engage in projects on electrical equipment, deliver solutions, and learn through mentoring, with a pathway to leadership and broad regional exposure across service branches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.8.
• At least one internship/co‑op or 3 months of technician/maintenance experience.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States and have a valid driver’s license.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or similar visa programs.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments including design, testing, or research.
• Display proficiency in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays and power quality measurements.
• Generate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
