Actalent is seeking a Field Service Engineer in New Lenox, IL to build and troubleshoot customer machinery, install and program customized machines from blueprints, and wire electrical panels using PLCs. The role involves frequent customer interaction and domestic travel, with onsite support in the Midwest region.

You’ll read schematics and manuals to diagnose equipment, coordinate parts after service calls, and serve as a primary contact for customers and field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing and programming customized machines.
• Wiring electrical panels and troubleshooting using PLCs.
• Willingness to travel ~50% overnight.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Build and troubleshoot customer machinery for adjustments.
• Use blueprints to install and program customized machines.
• Wire electrical panels and troubleshoot machinery using PLCs.
• Communicate with customers to provide technical assistance.
• Use manuals and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
• Travel domestically to customer locations for 2-3 days a month.
• Act as a contact for service calls, emails, and customer visits.
