Job summary
Jobot is seeking a Field Service Automation Engineer in Champaign, IL to develop and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial equipment, with hands-on hydraulic systems experience. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent hands-on experience in industrial automation will be considered.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of hydraulic systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs for industrial equipment and automation systems.
- Work primarily with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC platforms.
- Travel ~40% to customer sites for commissioning, troubleshooting, startups, upgrades, and support.
- Provide technical contact for customers and ensure clear communication throughout projects.
- Diagnose electrical, controls, automation, and hydraulic issues in industrial environments.
- Support equipment installations and ensure proper startup and commissioning of systems.
