Exreprotein LLC, a rapidly growing biotechnology company, is expanding its pathology instrument business and seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our Minneapolis headquarters. Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Equipment Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–4 years hands-on experience servicing medical, pathology, or laboratory instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple service assignments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, calibrate, and validate laboratory instruments at customer sites.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and service contracts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, optical, fluidic, and software issues.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and minimize downtime.
• Provide operator training and technical guidance to customers.
• Support remote troubleshooting via phone, email, and online meetings.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish demonstration, rental, and returned instruments.
• Replace defective components and perform hardware upgrades.
• Prepare instruments for demonstrations, rentals, and installations.
• Maintain service documentation and equipment history records.
