Job summary

Hurco Companies, Inc. in Utica, NY is seeking a Service Engineer to support customers in the Utica area. You will be the go-to person for on-site installations, maintenance, and problem solving to ensure our customers are up and running with their new machines.

This role is predominantly on-site with occasional travel by car or air to our home office or other sites. The ideal candidate has technical schooling or equivalent, experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and

Qualifications

• Technical school or equivalent in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Capable of travel and completing travel/expense reports.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Self-starter who works independently.

Responsibilities

• Pre-installation review with customer prior to shipping.
• Oversee machine installation at the customer's facility.
• Inspect, adjust, and start up new machines; ensure spec compliance.
• Provide warranty and non-warranty service, maintenance and repair.
• Visit customers to observe operation and suggest parts or services.
• Complete service, inspection, time and expense reports on time.
• Provide remote technical support to distributors, customers, and other engineers.
