Hurco Companies, Inc. is seeking a Service Engineer in Indianapolis, IN to support our Hurco product lines.

This role combines hands-on field service with advanced technical support, including machine installation, commissioning, warranty and non-warranty repairs, and customer/distributor assistance. The successful candidate will have strong CNC machine tool experience, excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, and a customer-focused approach to resolving issues and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of CNC machine tool service experience or equivalent experience in industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation, industrial automation, CNC controls, PLCs, and related machine systems.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial automation equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Travel up to 50% during the first year for training, product familiarization, and customer support; up to 25% thereafter.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel by car and air and work independently at customer locations.
• Ability to safely lift and handle machine components, tools, and equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Field Service & Machine Installation: oversee installation at customer facilities and start up machines.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: diagnose hardware, software, CNC controls, PLCs, and other systems.
• Technical Documentation & Training: create maintenance procedures, guides, and training materials.
• Reporting & General Responsibilities: complete service and time reports; cooperate with departments to resolve issues.
