Job summary

Quality Vision International Inc. is seeking a field service technician in the New York area. You will receive dispatches, confirm on-site timing, travel as needed, and perform calibrated service on complex systems.

You will document work thoroughly for ISO standards and communicate upgrade opportunities to the home office. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on field service, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and ability to read drawings and use precision tools.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in engineering, technology or physics, or 4 years of related work/military experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on field service experience calibrating, diagnosing and repairing complex systems.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings, specs and manuals.
• Strong math skills and unit conversions; comfortable with micro-units.
• Computer/controller experience; knowledge of control systems and hardware/software interactions.

Responsibilities

• Receive service dispatch details via email/phone with product, customer and timing.
• Contact customer to confirm location and timing for arrival.
• Arrange and book travel; arrive on-site with tools.
• Maintain updates with headquarters and customer on progress.
• Complete service reports, logs and expenses per policy.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and communicate leads to home office.
• Demonstrate training needs and communicate them to management.
