Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA in Rye, New York seeks a field service professional to provide technical direction and customer support for operation and maintenance of company products. You will work closely with sales, QA/QC and R&D to address customer issues, determine corrective actions and follow up, and may cover a designated region.

The role requires strong communication, hands-on repair skills, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• The Company’s primary business language is English and the candidate must read, write and understand English for essential functions.
• Minimum of 1 year working in a similar field-based repair position.
• Computer skills are essential; familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain credit approval for Corporate Credit card.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent Thinking.
• Detail Oriented.
• Strong Problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks (bend, push, etc.).
• Willingness to work up to and over 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, weekends, holidays, and after-hours.
• Occasional overnight travel.
• Must maintain credentialing for access to customer sites (COVID-19 vaccination may be required).
• Participates in reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within time requirements established by service management.
• Provide preventative maintenance and keep performance records on equipment.
• Provide guidance and training to customer personnel on operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques.
• Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommended corrective action.
• Advise on design changes to improve equipment efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• May participate in installation planning phase.
• Maintain customer goodwill through effective communication of services and on-site arrival times.
• Effectively manage company assets including vehicle, inventory, test equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.
