Job summary

The Field Service Engineer at Fresenius Kabi is responsible for providing technical direction and support to customers on operation and maintenance of company products, installing and repairing equipment, and serving as the frontline contact for service issues across designated regions.

You will train customer personnel, document maintenance, and collaborate with sales, QA/QC, and R&D to resolve problems while ensuring safety and quality standards. Travel may be required to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in a similar field-based repair position.
• Computer skills are essential. Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to obtain credit approval for Corporate Credit card.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent Thinking.
• Detail Oriented.
• Strong Problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work up to and over 8 hours/day with 40 hours/week, weekends, holidays, and after-hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within time requirements established by service management.
• Provide preventative maintenance in accordance with published procedures. Keep performance and maintenance records on the equipment.
• Provide guidance and training to customer personnel in operating, maintaining, inspecting procedures and techniques.
• Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
• Advise and assist in design changes to improve equipment efficiency or reduce cost of operations.
• May participate in installation planning phase.
• Maintain customer goodwill through effective communication of services, arrival times, and issues; present a positive company image.
• Manage company assets including vehicle, stock inventory, test equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.
