Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO AutoChem Inc. seeks a Field Service professional to conduct on-site installations, repairs, preventive maintenance and customer training for AutoChem instrumentation.

You will represent the Trusted Advisor, delivering exceptional service across hardware, software, and applications. Role requires extensive travel (over 75%), strong customer relations, and ability to train customers and collaborate with Sales, Service, and Product Management.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in chemistry, chemical, electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience troubleshooting electronic, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems or equivalent.
• Experience with Infrared, Optics, Lasers, HPLC, GC, Mass Spectrometry is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and English communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance of instrumentation.
• Establish and maintain the 'Trusted Advisor' role with customers through service excellence.
• Complete instructor-led service product training to expert level.
• Document and manage customer issues with Sales, Service and Support; prioritize and schedule service assignments.
• Report scheduling, utilization and escalation; provide feedback for quality improvements.
• Manage field inventory and administrative time; ensure accurate e-work records.
• Escalate ongoing field situations to service management as needed.
• Support account management and value-added services for customers.
• Travel and support expenses managed to stay within budget.
