Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO AutoChem Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer to conduct on-site installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on AutoChem instrumentation. You will deliver customer training and act as a Trusted Advisor during product lifecycle engagements.

You will troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems, coordinate service activity, and maintain service records while traveling to client sites and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in chemistry, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with troubleshooting electronic, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems; or equivalent education/training.
• Experience with Infrared, Optics, Lasers, HPLC, GC, Mass Spectrometry, or chemical background is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and written/oral communication in English.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance of AutoChem instrumentation and associated software.
• Establish and maintain the 'Trusted Advisor' role for customer interactions through service and training.
• Complete advanced instructor-led service product training.
• Document and manage customer issues with Sales, Service and Support; prioritize and schedule service assignments.
• Report scheduling, utilization and escalation; provide feedback for quality enhancements.
