Job summary

Vantive is seeking a Field Service Specialist to install, repair, and maintain electro‑mechanical medical devices in hospitals within assigned territory. You will travel to sites, diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely service delivery.

The role emphasizes customer interaction, problem solving, and adherence to safety SOPs. The position requires an engineering/BMET background, strong communication, and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in electrical/electronic engineering, biomedical equipment technology, or computer science with 3+ years of experience.
• OR Associate degree or higher in non-related field with 5+ years of electro‑mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• BMET certification or military electrical training acceptable.
• Willingness to travel and work in healthcare settings with PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, calibrations, PMs, and installations on electro‑mechanical medical equipment.
• Analyzes failures to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Manages territory by scheduling service calls and travel within SLAs.
• Maintains test equipment calibration and documents maintenance records.
• Provides guidance and training to customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
