Job summary

Vantive is a vital organ therapy company delivering extended lives through digital solutions and advanced services. The Field Service Technician role involves installing, maintaining and repairing a range of electro‑mechanical medical devices in clinical and hospital settings across a territory, with significant travel and customer interaction.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance and provide training to customer staff, ensuring timely, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining and repairing medical devices with safety/regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently to manage a service territory.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel 50-75% and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electro‑mechanical medical equipment.
• Diagnose failures, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Schedule service calls and travel to meet SLA commitments.
• Maintain service records, inventory transactions and test equipment calibration.
• Provide training to customer personnel on operation and inspection techniques.
• Communicate service status and issue resolution to customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor peers and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvements.
