Job summary

Advanced Sterilization Products in Akron, OH is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair sterilization systems at hospitals and surgical centers. Local and regional travel plus rotating weekend on-call are required.

You will serve as the on-site technical expert, solving complex problems, documenting service work, and ensuring patient safety through reliable sterilization equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 3 years customer support/technical support experience or an Associate degree with 3 years related work experience.
• Minimum of two years customer service experience.
• Two year degree in electronics/tech or related major preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify ASP systems within assigned territory.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance; document performance and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with customers and scheduling personnel for service work; provide on-site support.
• Support customers with emergency service; respond to requests for emergency service.
• Assist in design changes to improve equipment efficiency or reduce costs.
• Maintain trunk inventory and complete required audits.
• Provide guidance to customers including hospital Biomedical engineers and field technicians.
• Complete activities in the Siebel Service Management System with daily updates.
