Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Midwest region, including Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Ideal candidates reside in the Midwest and will travel to customer sites to install, calibrate, and service laboratory balances and moisture analyzers.

The role emphasizes strong troubleshooting, hands-on maintenance, and building lasting customer relationships while ensuring service documentation and proper scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field, or High School Diploma/GED with relevant technical certification.
• Minimum 2 years of field service, maintenance, instrumentation, or related technical experience.
• Experience calibrating balances, scales, moisture analyzers, or similar laboratory instruments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service and technical support during customer site visits.
• Perform installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of balances and moisture analyzers.
• Diagnose equipment issues and provide effective, timely solutions to minimize customer downtime.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and records.
• Manage workload and service schedule to ensure on-time customer support.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve complex issues and share best practices.
