Job summary

GP Reeves, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site and remote customer support, install, maintain, and repair GP Reeves equipment at customer locations, and ensure documentation is up to date.

The role requires mechanical/electromechanical troubleshooting with 2+ years field service, travel up to 50%, and strong communication skills. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams, and promote safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electromechanical knowledge applied to field service tasks.
• Experience diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiar with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• 2+ years in industrial field service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical approach.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic field service role.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of GP Reeves equipment at customer.
• Respond promptly to service calls and address customer inquiries.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and identify root causes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Schedule service visits with customers and internal teams.
• Provide detailed documentation of service activities.
• Assist with install and start-up of new machines.
• Provide remote support via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Quote spare parts as needed.
• Train customers on proper use and routine maintenance.
• Assist in testing and validation of new products or upgrades.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Maintain regular attendance onsite.
• Meet travel requirements as stated.
