Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel across North America supporting gas and steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems. You will be the technical face of Siemens Energy, leading outages and delivering reliable service at customer sites.

The role offers extensive hands-on training, collaboration with a global engineering team, and opportunities to advance into leadership positions within Field Service, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent military/industrial experience.
• 3+ years of field service, outage, maintenance, or power generation.
• Experience around rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel across North America up to 250 days/year.
• Self-starting leader able to develop innovative solutions.
• Physically able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lb.
• Orlando/Houston recruitment events; January/February 2027 start.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship possible for internal transfers.
• Driving is an essential function; valid license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise technicians during power plant maintenance outages.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators.
• Collaborate with global engineering to perform testing and repairs during outages.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Conduct inspections, measurements, and performance testing.
• Support commissioning, startup, and modernization projects.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy safety standards.
