Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Engineer II, Field Service to join our world-class team. This role involves installing, testing, repairing, and calibrating electro-mechanical instrumentation, with extensive travel up to 75% across the U.S.

and remote work from Texas or Virginia. A BS in engineering and 3+ years of field service are preferred; familiarity with Tecan automation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of field equipment service experience.
• Familiarity with Tecan automation hardware/software preferred.
• Able to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment per service manuals.
• Schedule and execute preventative maintenance and field upgrades.
• Order and manage repair parts and service records.
• Maintain customer logs and communication to ensure satisfaction.
• Travel up to 75% and respond to on-site service needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
