Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an Engineer II, Field Service to join our team. You will assemble, install, repair, test and calibrate electro-mechanical instrumentation and systems, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

This remote role requires travel up to 75% and relocation is not provided. Based in Texas or Virginia, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• 3+ years field equipment service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Tecan automation hardware/software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, repair and maintain electro-mechanical instrumentation per service manuals.
• Manage preventative maintenance and field upgrade modifications per instructions.
• Travel up to 75% to service customers and support on-site installations.
