Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer (Parkersburg WV) to manage day-to-day network activities, including equipment installation and testing, circuit turn-up, and customer premise equipment support. The role requires in-office presence five days a week with field interaction across telecom infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of telecom gear (Cisco, Ciena) and at least 2 years of hands-on experience, with an associate’s degree or technical background preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of telecom equipment (e.g., Cisco, Ciena)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with telecom equipment
• Preferred: Associate's degree or technical field
• Understanding and use of engineering documents and test sets

Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment, perform circuit/node turn-up and testing.
• Manage customer premise equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and ONTs.
• Troubleshoot transport and IP/data networks and perform preventive maintenance.
• On-call duties and coordination with service technicians and customers.
