Job summary

Canon U.S.A. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to support on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment, primarily in Hillsboro, Oregon. This role is full-time and customer-facing, requiring travel and hands-on problem solving in a cleanroom environment.

You will check equipment, train customers on operation, perform maintenance per factory procedures, document activity, and collaborate with teammates to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in semiconductor manufacturing equipment or related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under challenging conditions.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check and maintain equipment within factory specifications.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system.
• Perform repair or replacement per factory procedures, solo or with others.
• Provide technical support to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Report equipment status and contribute to troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate activity documentation and periodic reports.
• Collaborate with field technicians to service equipment.
