Job summary

IMS Nanofabrication seeks a Field Service Engineer II in Hillsboro, OR to install, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-beam mask writers at customer sites. This in-person role reports to the team lead engineer in IMS America and collaborates with Austria HQ’s R&D/ops teams.

You will perform preventive maintenance, resolve issues, and uphold IMS methodologies while building strong customer relationships and supporting special task forces as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2-5+ years of Field Service experience.
• 3-5+ years of customer-facing experience and good communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a global team.
• Experience with metrology or lithography equipment.
• Troubleshooting experience with ultra-high vacuum systems.
• Experience in Linux/UNIX server administration.

Responsibilities

• Install, perform annual preventive maintenance, and resolve issues on a growing fleet of Multi-beam mask writers.
• Ensure IMS-defined methodologies are followed and provide feedback to Headquarters.
• Participate in special task force teams handling customer escalations and incidents.
• Communicate status updates clearly to IMS U.S. leadership.
• Build strong relationships with local Tool Owners and customer stakeholders.
• Attend fab-related customer meetings to discuss issue resolution and maintenance.
