Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and service Medical systems. This hands-on, field-based role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently across a Northeast region.

The position emphasizes device performance, user training, and customer satisfaction. You will cover Indiana or Ohio residency with travel, supporting cardiovascular devices and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1 year of field service experience with technical training or an Associate’s degree.
• Travel to customer sites approx. 75% of the time.
• Strong understanding of electronic systems; capable of troubleshooting medical equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer‑first mindset.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of medical systems and equipment.
• Train medical staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.
• Deliver technical support for field escalations, customer concerns, and warranty inquiries.
• Manage routine and emergency service requests within your assigned territory.
• Accurately document service events, complaint information, and system updates using internal tools.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in projects, event support, or cross‑functional tasks as required.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams, customers, and leadership regarding service activities and priorities.
